Information for Dental Labs

A dental laboratory that sets up a "SmilePix Rebate Program" can encourage dentists to send their cosmetic prescriptions to them. Here are a couple of ways that some labs have utilized SmilePix digital dental imaging to increase their own production:

SmilePix Client Lab: The dental laboratory has a SmilePix account. They notify their dentists that they offer cosmetic imaging. The dentist sends the photos and their imaging instructions to the lab. The lab outsources the imaging to us.

SmilePix Lab Ally: An "ally" lab does not have a SmilePix account. However, they refer their dentists to us for cosmetic imaging.

Both Client Labs and Ally Labs offer SmilePix rebates to the dentists.
When the dentist has the imaging done with SmilePix, and then sends the prescription for the case to the lab, the lab will reimburse the dentist for the cost of the imaging.

Each Lab determines their own criteria for the rebates. Some use a dollar amount guideline, i.e. "prescriptions that are $1,000. or more". Others may want to promote certain products and may offer the rebate on them, for example on "6 or more units of crowns or veneers".
